Wine Odyssey Australia Club Terms and Conditions

These details will govern participation in the program and it is the member's responsibility to read and understand all of them. Wine Odyssey may change the program rules, conditions, benefits, or rewards pertaining to the program at any time without notice.
Membership:
Only individuals may be members of the Wine Odyssey Australia Club program.
Membership is a one-time fee of $25 (including GST). You will receive a $25 credit on your Wine Odyssey Privilege Card upon signing up for membership.
A person who wishes to become a member can apply in the ways provided by Wine Odyssey, namely in-person or via the web site.
A member must be 18 years of age or older.
Wine Odyssey may refuse any application for membership at their
discretion.
A member must notify Wine Odyssey immediately of any change of address or of a lost or stolen membership card. Wine Odyssey is not liable for any delay in replacing a membership card or for any unauthorised use of a membership card.
Wine Odyssey may terminate a membership in the Wine Odyssey Australia Club program without notice for any reason including, without limitation, if the member:
- fails to comply with these membership Terms and Conditions;
- abuses any privilege accorded to the member under the Wine Odyssey Australia Club program; or
- supplies any misleading information or make any misrepresentations to Wine Odyssey, or if the member does not use his or her membership card for a period of 12 months or dies or becomes bankrupt
Membership cards are not credit or charge cards, are not transferable, and remain the property of Wine Odyssey.
Any tax, liability or duty arising from a member's participation in the Wine Odyssey Australia Club program is the responsibility of the member.
Earning value:
Wine Odyssey Australia Club value is earned on the basis of $1 for every $20 spent for a participating transaction. From time to time, bonus value may be issued in addition to standard value under specially advertised promotions or competitions.
Participating transactions are any transaction made at the Wine Odyssey Australia Wine Bar or Wine Odyssey Australia Shop at The Rocks location: 39-43 Argyle Street, Sydney, NSW, Australia. Orders over the phone or web site do not currently qualify to earn value.
In order to obtain value, a member must notify the staff at Wine Odyssey before the purchase is concluded that the purchase is a Wine Odyssey Australia Club transaction by presenting his or her membership card at the point of sale. Wine Odyssey is not liable for any failure of a member to notify Wine Odyssey staff that the purchase is a Wine Odyssey Australia Club transaction.
A member can log-in anytime to their Account information on the Wine Odyssey web site to determine the value in their account that has not yet been transferred to their membership card.
A member can determine the value stored on their membership card by inserting it into the Wine Odyssey Australia self-serve wine bar, technically known as the Enomatic Wine Preservation and Pouring System, and reading the value on the read-out display.
Wine Odyssey Australia Club value and the rights they confer cannot be sold, transferred, assigned or otherwise dealt with except in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Wine Odyssey Club value has no cash or monetary value.
Claiming a reward:
A member who has accumulated sufficient value in his or her membership account may redeem this value on the Wine Odyssey Australia self-serve wine bar (technically known as the Enomatic Wine Preservation and Pouring System) by activating the self serve wine bar system using their membership card.
The Wine Odyssey Australia self-serve wine bar is located at 39-43 Argyle Street, Sydney, NSW, Australia.
Value from the member’s account is transferred onto the membership card (smart chip) by Wine Odyssey staff which requires the member to present their membership card at the Wine Odyssey reception desk located at 39-43 Argyle Street, Sydney, NSW, Australia.
Rewards can only be made redeemed by the member.
The dollar value of the wine poured from the self-serve wine bar will be deducted from the points balance of the member's card and account.
General:
Wine Odyssey Pty Ltd reserves the right to make any changes at any time without prior notice and at Wine Odyssey’s absolute discretion, to these Terms and Conditions, and the reward schedule even if the change has the effect of reducing or eliminating the accumulated value in any member's account.
Wine Odyssey will attempt to notify members of any changes but shall not be liable in any way for failure to do so.
Wine Odyssey reserves the right to suspend or terminate the Wine Odyssey Australia Club program at any time without prior notice. Wine Odyssey will not be liable for the suspension or termination of the Wine Odyssey Australia Club program on any account whatsoever including (without limitation) for any value balance in a member's account at the time of suspension or termination.
A notice shall be deemed to be given by Wine Odyssey to a member if it is sent to the postal or email address of the member appearing in Wine Odyssey database.
